The Astronomer’s Notes

Story

After greeting the player, Gerassimo tells of how he and his colleagues had been making observations of the moon using their telescope in the garden south-east next to their building but a few days ago some strange creatures invaded the garden, forcing them to leave their notes behind.

He offers a reward to the player for returning the notes.

Quest Objectives

To complete this quest, the player must:

• Obtain the Astronomer’s Notes and return them to Gerassimo.

Quest Walkthrough

After receiving the quest from Gerassimo head into the garden next to the building he resides in and go down the hole at the back. Go through the door south of where the enter and through the door at the end of the corridor. Head south-west, enter the door at the bottom then head half-way down the next corridor and enter the north-east door.

In here are some level 2 Small Spiders. Kill at least two and grab their dead bodies. You need these to distract some strong Moonie Elites later in the quest. You need two dead spiders per run. After getting some dead spiders go back out the room and back into the corridor through the north-west door.

From here head north-west up the corridor and into the south-west door that’s opposite a square and a circlular frame. Go around the corner and into the next corridor. Now go south-west, through the door past the two circular frames and to the bottom of this corridor, through the door opposite the circular frame. Now go south-east, through the door at the end and through the door at the end of this corridor. Now go through the door south of your position that’s opposite the circular frame. From here go north-east and through the second south-east door that is opposite the single square frame.

In here are the two Moonie Elites. Go to the end of the three cell wide corridor. Any further and the Moonie Elites will attack. Drop two spiders on the ground and both the Moonie Elites will rush to them to eat. They will remain distracted for around one minute which is plenty of time to go into the next room.

In this room are three Moonies. The Moonie at the back of the room has the Astronomer’s Notes. Kill it and retrieve the notes. Now return them to Gerassimo for your reward.

Alternatively, instead of using the small spiders to distract the Moonie Elites you can kill them if you’re strong enough or take an escort to kill them for you. You can also attempt to run past them and run to the back of the room where they will return to their posts. This is not recommended if you are not strong enough to fight them however.

Notes

• Geronimo talks about his observations of the moon from looking through the telescope. Strangely, his observations are also the directions to the Astronomer’s Notes. The shaped boulders he describes refers to the frames on the walls and the direction he moves the telescope is the direction you need to go. The notes are where he describes finding the beautiful thing he was looking for.
• Experience cap is based on half your experience bar. For example, if you complete this quest at level 13, you’ll get 4,927 experience.
