Enhancement
To enhance your gear you need an Orb of Enchantment with enough strength on it.
Orbs of Enhancement can be bought from merchants such as Jeremy or Fred.
To add strength to an orb you need to use stones found in the Pentagram Quests on it. Stones add strength and complexity to the orb.
Once your orb is ready just pick up the gear you want enhanced and use it on the orb.
Magical Structure
Orbs are made up of a magical structure consisting of strength, complexity and quality. Strength is what you need to enhance the gear. Complexity is also added to the gear when enhancing and affects the amount of damage the gear takes. Quality is based on strength and complexity and is an easier way to see how it’ll affect the amount of damage your gear takes. Quality is ((strength/complexity)*100)%.
Strength Needed to Enhance
The amount of strength that is needed to raise a piece of gear is based on it’s current stat base and if it’s single, double or triple stated equipment.
The amount of strength required to enhance a piece of gear can be worked out with the following formulas.
x = current stat base.
Single stat: 250 * x + 250
Double stat: 1000 * x + 1000
Triple stat: 3000 * x + 3000
To work out how much strength is required to raise it from +1 to +x you can use the following formulas.
x = stat to raise to.
Single stat: (x-1) * (125*x + 250)
Double stat: (x-1) * (500*x + 1000)
Triple stat: (x-1) * (1500*x + 3000)
To work out how much strength is required to raise it from +x to +y you can use the following formulas.
x = desired level
y = current level
Single stat: (y-1) * (125*y + 250) – (x-1) * (125*x + 250)
Double stat: (y-1) * (500*y + 1000) – (x-1) * (500*x + 1000)
Triple stat: (y-1) * (1500*y + 3000) – (x-1) * (1500*x + 3000)
