James is one of the first NPCs you come across. He asks you for a favor. He wants you to go and check up on Lydia as he passed out at the party they went together to.
After completing the quest for Lydia, James can give you advice on your stats for a fee. It’s generally considered that his advice isn’t worth it. If you want advice on your stats it’s best to ask other players for help.
